FASHION NEWS FROM THE AMVCA RED CARPET

It was all about Glitz and Glamour over the last weekend as Africa’s biggest movies award show (AMVCA) took place at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos Nigeria.
Celebrities from all over the continent graced the red carpet with all shades of looks. We had the Slayers, the good and the horrors.
Stay tuned;

THE SLAYERS

RITA DOMINIC: This Screen Goddess/fashion icon is top of the list.
She spotted a green number which was refreshing to see on the red carpet, perfect for her skin tone and perfectly tailored.
Honey you just earned your self a “GOLD ”star!

MERCY AIGHE GENTRY: This lady is one to watch, she knew exactly what she came for and she gave us true glamour. Congratulations… “GOLD” star!

OSAS:  Osas gave me joy. With the body of a Goddess, one would expect her to go with the regular figure hugging dresses but she came with the surprise factor, you outdid yourself girl. That’s a statement gown right there and you allowed it to speak volumes with as minimum jewelries as possible
“GOLD” star!
RUKKY SANDA: You pulled a nicki on us, I honestly didn’t recognize you at first and honey you ve never looked better. Them razz wigs has to stop.
Perfection H to T
“GOLD” star!

THE GOOD
GENEVIEVE NNAJI: Girl can do no wrong in my book but this particular dress honey… it didn’t cut it.
Theres too much expectation  and you just played it safe. This dress on an average actress would be a Gold star but you are the biggest Actress in Africa with amazing stylists lining up to dress you so we expect “MOVIE STAR”
Hair and dress colour didn’t help either, a lil bit of a let down but still classy.
No fine for you today but “YOU CAN DO BETTER”
FUNKE AKINDELE: Jenifa is one of those who brings it on the carpet, this particular look though, I cant quite place my fingers on what exactly is wrong. Don’t get me wrong this is not a bad dress, its just hurtful to the eyes at first glance.
“YOU CAN DO BETTER HUN”
STEPHANIE LINUS: Am prolly gonna be a lil biased here lol
I think she looked good, I didn’t love the look but its fine.
Nice post preggy body btw… "YOU CAN DO BETTER"
INI EDO: Contrary to the negative outrage, I actually like this dress. I believe you looked better live, these pictures didn’t do you any favours.  I remember telling the person next to me that Ini finally got it right at first glance only for her to pull a 360 and I wasn’t so sure anymore, I felt this instant urge to rip off that unnecessarily long  rumpled tail. Hair and makeup were spot on so I let you off with a lil fine.
YOU CAN DO BETTER”
KEHINDE BANKOLE: Originality girl! Why did you feel the need to use a Yaba Tailor to recreate a high fashion dress? You gave us something to compare too and we had a field day. With that body of yours, all you need is a good stylist to pick a bunch of sexy dresses for to pick from.
I ll let you off with a “FINE” this time
OMONI OBOLI: I think you looked good in this black and white number.  No fine for you.

HORROR:
KATE HENSHAW: One word... TACKY
Enjoy your time in "JAIL"
IBINABO: I have no problem with you trying to be Madonna/Gaga but darling, pick the right event.
Wrong Outfit, Wrong Event. You just earned yourself time behind bars for subjecting the innocent fashion world through this horror.
     “JAILED”
EKU EDEWOR: Darling you are here because you don’t have a stylist.  What in God’s name are you wearing? I think your body is perfect and the easiest to style cos most of these gorgeous dresses are made for them skinny ladies, So why? Why cant you give Nigerian ladies a reason to visit the gym and stop offering you burger…  I hope you don’t loose more weight in this fashion prison.
“JAILED”

EBUBE NWAGBO: It hurts me personally to find you down here, I bet you didn’t get the Memo.
But like they say, Ignorance is no excuse,
“JAILED”
